Writing in Water, Singing the Clouds
This Saturday, I'm performing my new work "Writing in Water, Singing the Clouds" at Notam. It's a new piece commissioned by Nuts and Bolts, in which I've been diving into slow shifting harmonics and beatings, organ pipes as oscillators and my first time building an instrument. The event starts at 18:00, with a performance by Busy Gangnes & Cory Arcangel at 18:30, followed by my piece at 19:00. Early start, free entry, low stakes. Beautiful poster by my friend Zarina Saidova In the process of this work, there has been a lot of doubt and second guessing. To make an instrument shifts between fun, frustrating and familiar, like making a piece of music that reveals what I could have made instead. So, it became a meditation: on what is actually here, what is inevitably not static, but constantly in movement and a work to-be-made. Trying again. Returning to what I have. You could totally be next to me
I'm so happy to share with you that my new album, a collaboration with my best friend Opuntia, is finally out today! It's titled You could totally be next to me and is a precious, soft, gentle embrace through sound. My music is composed for Camila's waking thoughts, recorded early in the morning, before the mist of the subconscious lifts and reason kicks in. I am truly grateful for the generousness of Cami, who unfiltered shares these moments of utter beauty and fragility. This album is a gift to us both, and hopefully to you as well. It is out on cassette via our friends at Take It Easy Policy, in a soft pillow cover, as well as a beautiful hand folded paper cover with artwork by oro íris. A bonus photo of Camila, taken in the autumn of 2021 outside Lisbon, Portugal. Sending lots of love, take it easy, and ride with your ups and downs. Because - who would like life to be a steady beat? <3 Jenny

Flutter Ridder
On March 7th 2025, Espen Friberg & I released our debut album as the duo Flutter Ridder. Flutter Ridder was released by the brilliant Students of Decay. I'm so thrilled about this project. I worked with Espen Friberg on his solo album 'Sun Soon' a while back, and it was such a pleasure to arrange and mix his beautiful Serge compositions. Back in November 2023, we spent a week in Hvitsten church, recording new music together: combining the electrical currents of the Serge synthesizer with the f low of air through the church organ and my clarinet. I find the sounds to be so warm, woody, fluttering and inspiring, and I really hope you will too. While we were making Flutter Ridder, we kept thinking of the movie The Brothers Lionheart, a film adaptation of Astrid Lindgren's book of same title. The soundtrack to that movie was in a way the soundtrack to my childhood, and the beauty of the synths going in and out of tune has been a big inspiration for me. The story is essentially about fighti
